Pre-Construction services is the core activity of CMAR that makes or breaks the process. There are a munber of areas of expertise that are required during this phase of a CMAR project. Topics covered in this presentation include, cost estimating, scheduling, value analysis, constructability reviews, design review, the GMP and much more.

In this presentation, Acting City Engineer Tauny Woo discusses how CMAR contractors can be successful in winning CMAR procurements. She shares the City of Phoenix's perspective on past procurements and what contractors have done well and not so good. This informative presentation provides some real insights and tips.

This presentation looks at the make up of what goes in to building a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from the owner's perspective. How to make sure the selection process results in hiring the best firm for the particular project being procured. The last half of the seesion looks at responding to the RFQ from the contractor's perspective and how to make certain they recieve the maximum score possible.
